Resolved, the House of Bishops concurring,

That the 80th General Convention of The Episcopal Church affirms the role of the church and its ministers in promoting public health and disease prevention.

Resolved, the Convention affirms that all ministers have a sacred responsibility to promote public health, the prevention of preventable disease, and the implementation of safeguards to keep congregations and communities safe.

Resolved, that Convention recognizes the many healthcare disparities exposed and made greater in our ethnic and minority communities and encourages all minister to find ways to advocate and bring healing to communities disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Resolved, that Convention recognizes that addressing the disproportionate impact of COVID-19 on the underrepresented and vulnerable is not only a public health concern but also an issue of equity, racial and social justice.

Resolved, that Convention recognizes that many of our non-domestic and foreign dioceses have been disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in comparison to our domestic dioceses.

Resolved, that the Conventions encourages all church-wide and diocesan bodies to find ways to address disparities disproportionately impacted underrepresented and vulnerable communities and dioceses.
