D013 Resolving the Conflict between Israel and the Palestinian People

The General Convention has called for a peaceful resolution to the Israeli/Palestinian conflict since at least 1979, which includes sovereignty for Palestinians and security and the right to exist for Israel, and supports withholding military aid to Israel unless in compliance with U.S. foreign aid laws, the right of return of Palestinian refugees, while denouncing violent acts by both sides.  Further, General Convention supports Jerusalem as the capital of both States.  The Church supports human rights for both peoples and maintains a No Buy list of companies that contribute to human rights violations against any peoples, including companies in the occupied areas of Palestine.   The many policy positions of the General Convention on Israel and Palestine can be found using the Episcopal Archives digital services.
